Tanz Mit Mir, oil on canvas, 182.88 x 243.84 cm, 2021.
Along different planes, and perspectives lies ouroboros keeping time tipped by cent greenbacks. A white rabbit hops around towards a group of Andres Serrano green hooded donkeys prepared with Fourth of July decorated fireworks. Baudelaire’s Painters of Modern Life floats in the draft of a burning cape of many colors adorned by a walking man in a black suit, while he pours a droplet of water onto his head as he approaches a “No Hats Allowed” moment, shadowed by Aztec ruins. We wake up at the feet of a tall blonde woman, wearing a long red dress, and holding a basket of bread. Red velvet theatre curtains are behind her. In the distance are romantic skies with glitching contours of Berlin’s TV tower facing façades of Bassano del Grappa becoming Bavaria overlooking a Venetian canal where monks are celebrating, a cardinal gently approaches them.
